blueSIP offers the opportunity to port numbers or number blocks from already existing German telephone extensions. This service covers all German local area telephone networks. Background information on number portingUsing blueSIP's Premium*) service, a number porting to blueSIP is possible. From your current carrier, the phone numbers will be ported to blueSIP to ensure a continuous availability with your well known numbers. However, the porting is only possible if you stay within the same local telephone area network. That means, a porting of phone numbers to other local area telephone networks is not possible (ONKZ **) remains the same). Number porting orderPlease fill in the complete order forms and send them to blueSIP/ccn. The contractor has to be same as the owner of the telephone numbers. After order receipt, blueSIP will start the porting process. Your current carrier will inform us about the time, when the number will be ported to blueSIP. blueSIP will inform you in advance, as there will be a short downtine in availability for the ported numbers. After a successful porting, your phone numbers can be reached from outside. Special featuresPlease note, that all numbers from your existing telephone connection will be ported. It is not possible to port partially a few numbers. By porting all numbers, it might be that your telephone line contract will be cancelled from your current carrier - and the basis for a broadband DSL connection might be vanished this way! Charges from your current carrier for the porting of numbers ('transfer away') will not be covered by blueSIP. There is no need to terminate the contract for the numbers at your telecommunication service provider. Emergency number callingIf customers will receive localized numbers and/or porting numbers, blueSIP will use the data given within the blueSIP premium contract as a geographical determination of an users location. In case of an emergency call, blueSIP will route the emergency call to the corresponding emergency call dispatcher. blueSIP resp. ccn has to be informed immediately in writing, if an assigned or ported number is used in a nomadic manner. The user has to provide blueSIP with the proper location data to ensure correctly the emergency call routing. Alternatively, blueSIP recommends a hybrid configuration including the access gateway or router to route calls with preselected emergency numbers via classical PSTN lines. As an additional alternative, emergency calls may be placed by using a mobile phone. CLIPAfter the number has been ported to blueSIP, a validation is possible to broadcast your number on outgoing calls (CLIP Calling Line Identification Presentation).
