If the central office and each branch office have an internet connection, phone conversations can be connected using SIP and the internet. There are then no telephone costs.

Utilising the internet for IP telephony provides interesting possibilities, for example conversations can be carried out through an encrypted VPN. The level of encryption can be adjusted per company needs.
